How to Measure Beef for 1 4 Oz of Ground
4 oz of cooked hamburger meat??? how
Making tacos/burritto but I don't have a food scale to measure 4oz any suggestions on centre balling it? Peradventure 1/ii loving cup? 1/four cup?

I'd say one/two cup, since a cup is viii oz, but that'southward a guess, I accept a great calibration! Best $20 I've spent for the kitchen in a long time!!!

Never measured it earlier, only weighed it merely if I had to judge I'd say 1/2 loving cup.

1 cup packed. I had some cold in the fridge and measured it on my calibration. Granted mine is cold so its not moist so don't fill yours completely to the top.

measuring cups for baking are for liquid measurement. 4 oz. of ground beef is meant to be weight. I'm betting that a 1/2 loving cup of ground beefiness is way more than 4 oz of beefiness. Call up that a quarter pound hamburger is four oz. of meat.

You would recall since a cup is 8oz that 4oz of meat is one-half that... I googled information technology once before and it said 4oz of ground meat is a cup...

Measuring cups are for liquid ounces(oz as in book). You demand 4oz of cooked hamburger (oz as in weight).

Practise not confuse the 8 fl. ounces to measuring actual weight!! This ways 4 ounces of hamburger does Non equal a one-half a cup! So many people confuse this and end up with either way too much or way too picayune. The final time I weighed it out on my food scale, it looked to exist most a quarter loving cup, maybe a little more. So in this case people may be right that it could be close to a ane/2 cup, merely that does non ever happen! I advise trying to find a food calibration. Some of the cheaper ones really work really really well. I am extremely poor LOL, only the food calibration I bought was definitely worth the money, and information technology was on sale for $18.
If y'all e'er get up the free energy to want to search information technology, there are a few articles out there about the deviation between fl. ounces and "regular" ounces. fl. ounces are just a measurement of volume, non a measurement of weight.

4 oz of meat is a measure of mass. You can't put information technology into a loving cup that measures volume. If you buy the meat at the shop information technology's unremarkably weighed for you so if you lot bought a pound of beef just gauge into quarters if you don't have a scale. Or just quadruple the recipe and accept leftovers!

Merely so yous know, almost measurements of meat and things are raw. So when the serving size on the package says four oz., that is raw, uncooked meat... when it cooks down, it will expect similar a lot less.
